Also pulled out Morris Day's "Fishnet" 12", The Jackson's Destiny, ELO's Time, Tom Jones. I love this ELO album. It was my introduction to ELO back in 1982 or so (whenever it came out).
You know you're old when you bought records that came out the year I was born.
I feel really old now, the first record I ever got was in 1977. It was the 45 for "Star Wars theme/Cantina band" by Meco Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for. |

My VINYL, you pervs. With my recent Prince finds, I had a hankering to listen to all the vinyl I've collected over the years. I've pulled out random records from my shelf to play. Right now, for the first time since owning it in 10+ years, I'm playing Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic. Man, how I've missed vinyl. We always talk about how we love it, but how often do we actually PLAY it?
I have my new Madhouse 16 album that I plan to play just 1 side of. SUCH a warm sound on the Rave album right now. I'm playing Vinyl 1, side 2, which is "Hot With U" through "The Sun, The Moon, & Stars". I also yanked out some Rufus & CHaka Khan, The Family, Kajagoogoo, The Jazz Singer, "Glam Slam" 12", and the album from 1992. Too bad I can't successfully chip out Tony M. on the vinyl! haha
Pull out your vinyl this weekend, and play it!!!!
PS I TOTALLY need The Gold Experience on vinyl. I bet the vinyl warms up that harsher & crispy digital sound on that album.
what no "COME" 12"? if i was going to pull somthing out I would be prince's 12" come! "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!" |

I can never get mine to curve and have good looking waves/bends in them. Any secrets? I really wanna do one again. I bought a Midnight Star record years ago and the record in the jacket was not the one ON the jacket. I figured it's a toss off and I could do the bowl thing from it.
EYEv got a warped 12 inch Lets Work just willing and able 2 collect ashes 2 ashes!!
about a year ago i tossed out several Prince 12" records (raspberry beret, kiss, hot thing) and a copy 'for you' that were warped.... "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!" |

Hell yeah! I spun that around when I was four (showing my age)! Big Star Wars geek, me. I had the 45 too. It wasn't later until I heard the extended mix of that song! |
