Does anyone have a pic of the Book Cover the record stores were giving out to support the "For You" album??

How times have changed. WB made book covers for school kids and marketing Prince to teens and pre teens, and I would never play "Soft & Wet" for my 12 yrd old!!

The lyrics anc album content NEVER bothered me one bit. and I knew every word.

BTW, I was 14 when this was released.

Look at all the 8 Tracks on the shelves behind them.

Poor guy..he looks miserable. Either he's tired or just didn't want to be there. Shy and reserved, the fame was probably too much. I sometimes wonder why people that claim to hate the media and fan attention don't just stay out of the spotlight? Prince could have easily just never did another ablum after this one and no one would have bothered him!!

he looks about as animated signing records for fans as he does in the poster of him hanging on the wall behind. they might as well have just set up the poster and had some store employee stick his hands through cut-outs and sign those records.

Would like Prince to do another show in San Francisco...

Also NastradumasKid you forget we are not all American, my country New Zealand has very few people of African descent, so we don't really see them at all. Out of 4,300,000 maybe 1,000 are African American and 3,000 are Black African (Mostly Zimbabwe, South African, Somali, Nigerian and Kenyan). So if I am forgetting things that is why.

We consider the local Maori and Pacific Island people (About 600,000) of the population as Brown rather than Black. Like myself I am more Brown than Black.

I'm aware that not everyone is an American this site, thank you. It's just that, it's been long established that dude was black, but whatever, to each his own.

Yeah, I don't know why someone thought that was so hard to figure out...

Either way its a great image, he looks so young and in some ways the slightly scared look in his (Prince's) eyes even makes him look very naive.
