Best Prince song (for the opening dance of a wedding?) Dear Princers,
Tomorrow my best friend gets married. For the opening dance, he has chosen "Holy River", and now I'm looking for the best version ever recorded of this song (in excellent sound quality and another version than the cd version).
Any idea?

you won't find a better sound version than the album version, make sure it's not the edit without the solo, that's like wtf?

I was thinking the edit version would be better. I have DJed weddings for 20 years now and know the groom will NOT want to dance for 6 minutes Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for. |

make sure it's the radio edit. it'll be awkward (and too long) for them to be slow dancing through that 2 minute guitar solo at the end.
also, that song is a bit of a downer for a first dance at a wedding, isn't it? i mean, in the end, the message is one of redemption, etc., but most of the song is about regret and misery. | |
