Prince running out of titles for songs?? I'm wondering how many songs that were written by Prince share the same title?
I can think of the following... 1) New Power Soul (From NPS and Exodus) 2) Girl (B-side and The Time) 3) Gett off and Get off (D&P and Thieves in The Temple B-Side) Are there any others? Put yourself on the worldwide org map! www.frappr.com/princeorg

It was called Newpower Soul on the album of the same name '7' on the '' album and 'Seven' on Madhouse's album, '8'. there are also various pairs of songs which remain unreleased, or where only one of the pair is released released where the songs are entirely different. e.g. 'Love and Sex' and '17' [This message was edited Tue Jan 28 12:45:58 PST 2003 by langebleu] ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. Another one is 'Sticky Wicked'. There are two completely different Prince compositions (circa 87-88 ) sharing this very title.
One version was recorded by Chaka Khan. The other version, an instrumental, has yet to circulate. . [This message was edited Tue Jan 28 12:49:17 PST 2003 by giotto] "You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. Go and boil your bottoms, sons of a silly person."

Another case of joy in repetition is the recurring incidence of the word 'Drawers' in Prince song titles, especially around 1985.
Even though there was never a studio recording of a song called 'Drawers Burnin'', this was the title of a funk jam he performed during his birthday show that same year. Then there was the instrumental called 'Drawers' which he gave to Eric Leeds (who then turned it into 'Little Rock' and released it on his debut album 'Times Squared'). And finally, there was yet another jam from '85, this time called '(U Got The) Good Drawers', which, confusingly had nothing to do with 'Drawers Burnin'' . "You don't frighten us, English pig dogs.
