No. That's the best. And I think it was the first time he's played the solo live unless someone can tell me otherwise.

I love the way he sings that song.

It is still the best version I've heard. He seems to be playing a similar version lately in Europe but from what I've seen he has not bested the performance in Coachella.

For whatever reason he has never given the song much attention live like he has Purple Rain. I always felt he sold the song short live even during the 1999 tour when it was new.

I agree..He never really played the song in it's entirety..Except for once he played Little Red Corvette (Dance Mix) in 1983 and it was great..

I was blown away when I first heard it. It's unbelievable.

However... I believe that pound for pound... when all categories are layed out, the original version of Little Red Corvette is the greatest rock song that Prince has ever released.

It's the PERFECT song... chorus... sex appeal... style and innuendo. It has it all!

Not talking about the quality of the Coachella version, but: What solo do you mean? That short guitar solo in the middle of the song, clocking in at approx. 20 seconds on the album version? Which was played everytime by Dez Dickerson on the 1999 tour for example? Now what are you talking about - that this was the first time that Prince ever played it himself?

Exactly. Either Dez played it, or Wendy, or Miko played it during the Lovesexy tour or it was abridged and the solo wasn't included.
