You all missed it - DANGER MOUSE!

Listen to what he did for The Black Keys and what he's doing now with Broken Bells. Gnarls Barkley wasn't bad either. He respects the musician and brings out the best.

I'd like to see an album where each song is produced by a different producer. Each producer gets one shot to make a Prince song sound the way he/she wants to.

It might encourage each producer to try and deliver a knockout track; no one would want to end up producing the "lame" song on the CD.

If Prince could somehow look at the collaborations as novel, fun things to try, a dazzling album could result.

An allstar pool of producers, past and present, could provide the pool to choose from. Some picks:

Jam and Lewis

Timbaland

will.i.am (ugh... but if anyone would produce the hit single, he would)

Rick Rubin

Mutt Lange

Whoever is behind Lady Gaga right now

Teddy Riley (would love to hear an MJ/Dangerous-style track with Prince)

Ne-Yo (another hitmaker)

Kanye

1. Prince - all day.

2. That Symbol Brotha - all day.

3. Steva Wonda (That's right, I said it! You think Stevie couldn't smooth some ish out nicely if and when needed. They both friends and supa-stars, so Steve would know the deal and let Prince be Prince for the most part, but add another dynamic perspective to Prince's own). Steve could offer a few ballads and all-out "Let's Get Serious''-type jams to collaborate on and ... who knows?

4. Jamie Starr - gimme some of that The Time madness for another hot project.

6. Stephen Marley (That's right, I said that, too. He could meet Prince halfway between reggae, rock, hip-hop, R&B, pop and soul). lol

It's hard to see anybody producing Prince but himself.
