I avoided the Batman soundtrack for years since most people say not to even bother but I heard "Partyman" in the movie and decided to give it a go. It's definitely not one of his better albums but the album mix of "Batdance" had a funk section I really liked.

So I downloaded the "Vicki Vale mix" and that is seriously one of his funkiest grooves with lots of great hooks thrown in. I'm not sure how Prince fans feel about his Batman association but does anyone else love that song?

honestly? i was bored after the 1st 20 seconds of the vicki vale mix, much prefer the album version.

The Vicki Vale Mix is terrific. I was just listening to the fan made Batman - Remastered And Expanded yesterday and this version came on. I was reminded that this mix needs to be listened to more often. The whole Batman project was fun back then and holds up well today.
