Is it different than the versions released in the other countries? Was there an article released with it? If so, could you please translate it so we could all get down on some parlez vous francais? I'd love to know if he declared mayonaise with your french fries over.

Ah, right, I remember that. I guess I just haven't seen any threads about 20TEN's release (or lack thereof) barring the inundation we got about the not-gonna-happen US release.

According to Hosono, one day in 1978, after a recording, he invited Ryuichi Sakamoto and Yukihiro Takahashi to his house and showed a memo which said "Cover and arrange Martin Denny's Firecracker into a chunky-electric disco, featuring synthesizers, to sell out four million copies around the world".

Ryuichi is one of my favorite electronic music composers. The "Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence" soundtrack is on my an all-time favorite albums list. And his recent releases with Alvo Noto are great, too.

Sakamoto, Hosono, Takahashi and their friends released an impressive number of wonderful records! It's worth getting into it and discovering their solo works alongside YMO's, as well as the work of their friends, such as Akiko yano, Miharu Koshi, Logic System, World Standard, etc.

Not to mention his work with Jill Jones and Ingrid Chavez...
