A "live" version was released in some way as part of the download album C-Note, from NPGMC. But i agree with you, the studio versions are very good indeed. One of my favorites.

'Release' would also mean the risk of tinkering, re-interpreting, etc.

Really is amazing that a song like this is only known to a limited audience.
I think there's more chance of another artist covering it rather than a Prince release. [Edited 8/13/10 4:15am] Prince is a musician not a lifestyle. | |
