I've listened to him since, erhm, the mid 1980s I think. But it wasn't before the end of the 1990s, that I wanted to learn more and dug in.
(What could be interesting, is: does people who identify themselves positively as fams belong to the 20plus year club or the 10minus years club?)

1985-1989 Knew of 1989-1990 Kind of liked 1991-1993 Adored (Early fanhood) 1994-1997 Obsessive Hardcore, bought and collected any and everything Prince related 1998-2003 Almost forgot him 2004-2010 Obsessive and Hardcore again
