Let me start by saying that I tried to find this topic on the org, but wasn't successful, so please excuse me if you've discussed this before.

When Prince returns to the stage after performing Purple Rain, he stops to look down corridor where Appolonia is waiting for him, right next to her is Vanity, wearing a beaded headpiece/hat.
Anyone confirms this? I thought it was so fantastic!

After studying it for 40 mins I have yet 2 come 2 a conclusion on whether or not its Vanity. I shall put a known pic of Vanity and this still from PR through an advanced facial recognition scan

Wow! Thanks for doing this. Yes, this is the woman to whom I refer. I think it struck me more when he first looks down the hallway, a few frames before this. Anyway, i guess it's me doing that "Alfred Hitchcock appearance" thing- searching for those unnoticed things in a movie.

Oh, come on. Do you really believe that Vanity would dump out of the female lead, only to come back as an extra?

Vanity was majorily coked out during that time, there is no way she could even stand let alone BE in a movie.

That's not Vanity. Her name is Chick Standing Next To Apollonia. It's in the credits of the film.

Agreed. The majority of the people said she was not only fighting a lot w/ Prince, but also just flat out lazy when it came to working. They were all going through dance lessons, acting lessons, etc, at the beginning of the production. (I didn't realize that even Monte Moir from The Time was still in the band long enough to be part of it all the first few days before he left the group.) It was later that Vanity got into the drugs really, really bad. It's sad watching Action Jackson because of the whole drug part to it. It was a bit too close to home, I would imagine. Creeps me out seeing it, knowing she was probably that way in real life to some extent.

Vanity did appear in the movie though, right? During the "When Doves Cry" montage I thought that was her in the close-up during the barn make-out scene. Or maybe that was just in the WDC video...

or the stage hand that runs behind Morris as he get ready (seen in the mirror some say it was someone in the TIME but i think it is a stage hand)
