Lovesexy. . . Gospel?

When you listen to Lovesexy yes, what do you get out of it?

I've heard that Prince think's of it as a gospel album. I do too. What about you? smile

"Would you hold it agaisnt me, if I said I loved another?" ♥

It's not a gospel album. It's a pop/rock/r&B album with religious overtones. Prince likes to think he can take nods from other genres and put the label on whatever he chooses (see: Dirty Mind and "punk" or 1999 and "new wave"). This is not a gospel album.

An example of a gospel Prince song: "Still Would Stand All Time"

lovesexy is the perfect name for it

lovesexy is word to discribe it i guess

he says god is love

and sexy (i dont know maybe its funk or music )

so my conclusion is lovesexy is funky /god /music

but sometimes i think prince doesnt think about these things as hard as we do

maybe he just puts random stuff together and vavoom!
