check out this song from Fast Times
This song came up on shuffle..I heard it and thought something like a Prince song ala Miss Understood or something was gong to start and I hear Joe Walsh's nasal voice come on and thought it was some mistaken song identified. Nope, it was Waffle Stomp from the 1981 soundtrack to Fast Times At Ridgemont High. It sure sounded like a Prince production to me before he began singing (at least the drum track).

Yep, kind of shows how Prince somehow came to own sounds from the Linn drum as his brand of style even though anyone had access to them. My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

But it also sems liek Prince may have copped some linn moves from others as this is from 1981-82 and that sound sounds so much like his 85-87 drum material.

I thought it was in the vein of 1999 era stuff to like "Delirious". The dry, electronic, midrange hihats My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

same here I thought it sounded most similar to Delirious and that would be 81 or 82. betcha he had a hand in this song as he did in Stevie Nicks Stand Back To Sir, with Love
