I know Prince doesn't like to talk much (which is not that big of a deal), but there are some people who feel like he should show more of himself outside of the studio and make more tv appearances and radio and out in the public.

Then again it might not be all his fault, there are talk shows that can call and request him (i.e. The Mo'nique Show, The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel, Regis and Kelly etc.) even award shows. Ok, I was estatic when i saw him on the 2010 BET awards. I mean it was about time they gave him the respect he deserved, but he didn't Perform. Alot of award shows have the same people perform every single year, and it's getting boring. Prince would murder the stage if he was a regular act for an award show instead of people like Drake, Rhianna, Katy Perry, Kanye, Gucci Mane, you know the usual.

What do you think ?

Could the media and entertainment world do a better job of including him in their roster for performing and interviewing and making guest appearances ?

I think he'd kinda lose his...um... what's the word I'm thinking of.... mystique? Icon-ness?... if he were to just show up at all kinds of awards shows and start performing. Plus usually performers at awards shows have something to promote, an upcoming or just released album, things like that. Prince released 20Ten sporadically and not even in the US, so there would really be no reason for him to have performed at the VMAs this year. I wouldn't have wanted him to.

The VMAs are a joke now.

And two, like I said earlier, his icon status would be tarnished if he just showed up places, grabbed a guitar and started singing Let's Go Crazy.

I would LOVE to see Prince more. But not on any trashy reality type of show. Maybe just doing more performances and more award shows, like the Grammys, not the VMAs. A new documentary would be good too!! I'd like to see his videos on tv and him doing some promotion for his cds too. And I know some people don't like his movies, but I LOVE them!!! So I would LOVE a new movie!! And lastly, I always enjoyed his perfomances on Leno and Ellen, so more would be awesome. He needs to get out a bit and let the younger generation see him, because they would love him too if they his music!

No, no, no, no and no. The only thing I think Prince needs to do is tour more in the US. Somewhere around thirty major markets at least every other year. Some smaller markets or a tour where he hits ten to fifteen cities he's never, or rarely, visited in between. Otherwise, I really could not care less what he does or doesn't do in public.

^^^But his new touring home is the UK now

I personally think that Prince should do the VMA's ala MJ '95 style and take up a 10 to 15 minute set and bang out some classics and one new song.

His new touring home is the UK? Is it? I must have missed that then.

Prince has never done a tour of the UK, he has played the UK as part of a tour, but never a full blown tour of the UK only.
