That's because of me. I bought six copies of it, and my friend bought one.

Apparently!

Likely due to 20TEN not being available in the US and people wanting to get the new Prince record.

Sarcasm coming nearly an hour after a link to the chart has been posted? A little less than effective.

Didn't I also read somewhere that the price has been slashed? That could have something to do with it also.

99 cents did wonders. Now imagine how things "really" worked during the golden payola era.

A 99 cent download for good new music would probably do nicely as tour and memorabilia promotion.

I think I am seeing the light as to where the music indusrty is heading. I think I am a convert and have given up on trying to fight the internet and instead make it as easily and prominently visible, available and affordable over the entire music marketplace as possible. (like Bart and others have said all along)

Prince seems to be having a hard time paying his property taxes and business associates. Instead of leaving products that consumers want on the table and fighting the tides, maybe Prince should reconsider his priorities. Get Wild Cologne and Tamboracas seem a lot harder sell than the obvious ones that would have him enjoy his life WHEREVER he wanted instead of hiding out licking his woulds in Lavaux.

If that's all it takes these days to get an album on the charts with the dying industry these days let me go ahead and buy a couple

Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

What are you babbling about? He got paid up front for both projects and for all we know is ready to put out another one. What is wrong with the CD selling for 99 cents it is a good CD and now more people are going to hear it than if P had gone the record company route. Do some of you think P has any chance of getting his music on the radio these days? Like it or not radio promotes music and most people are going to buy music if they hear it on the radio.

I really think some of you need to get over the method of P's distrubution and see the big picture.
