Yes I remember. It wasn't in the 90's and I'm not 2 sure it was Mayte. I always thought it was Mani or some other girl who "looked like his wife" because it was right around the time Mayte was in Spain. At least that is how I remember it....could be wrong. It wouldn't be the 1st time.

I remember the story vaguely. Was it while he was married to Mayte?

was this false story? Because I do remember reading it in the rag mags at the time... then years later coming on the web and reading that it really happened and he was with Mani, Mayte was in Spain and this is when the "bleep" hit the fan and Mani and Prince's close association was exposed.
