Is there a flood of these so-called pirate "special editions" or could it be that these 30 Madhouse CD's are genuine?

I'd be very weary of buying at that price too, without seeing it first.

Ask the seller to send you a scan of the artwork and CD - I imagine they won't!

I actually HAVE the genuine ones and as i want to sell them i'm a bit pissed that they might now be worth nothing because of a flood of fakes

Genuine collectors will still be looking for genuine copies.

I bought two fakes from Amazon a long time ago, Madhouse 8 and 16. They were very good fakes.

All the artwork, numbers on the inner cd ring etc etc.

I admit that i was under the illusion that they were genuine, maybe i should have known better as they were only £25 each.

There is a very good section on the Madhouse cd's in the "Known fakes" section over at http://www.moquake.com/forum/ Just click the collectables area, then click on known fakes.

It still amazes me that a company such as Amazon continue to sell counterfeit goods such as these. There is a well known Erykah Badu bootleg doing the rounds, that too is being sold on Amazon, so maybe there are others, by other artists.

However, good luck with selling your cd's and as NouveauDance pointed out, the genuine collectors will/should know what they are looking at.

Amazing!!! I had no clue that copies were made that look that close to the originals

Mine were bought in the 90's so it's very unlikely that there were fakes at this time.
