Prince is getting dragged into court by high powered attorney Ed McPherson -- who claims his purple highness owes him a royal fortune ... nearly $50,000 for services rendered.



According to the lawsuit, Prince hired McPherson to represent him on two different cases -- and racked up a legal bill of $49,987.74. McPherson says he "performed legal services on [Prince's] behalf in an exemplary manner" -- but has yet to get paid.

Prophetically, one of the cases Prince hired McPherson for was a lawsuit by an agency which -- like McPherson -- claimed Prince screwed them over financially.

In the docs, filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, McPherson claims he made "countless attempts ... to resolve this matter" with Prince.

Prince's rep hasn't returned our call yet.

He probably spent that $50,000 on his monthly makeup bill instead of paying his lawyer

I like to wait and hear the facts, but there does seem to be a LONG line of people through the years who have accused him of not paying them for the work they do. You want to believe it's not true but...

Prince is a grown ass man. He needs to stop being such a punk ass bitch and just fucking pay people for their work. You know, like he demands people pay him for his.

Not again.

All this just stems from the people he has managing his affairs. When you are a big celebrity you are sometimes untouchable. No big deal it's only $50,000. That's like $5 to him.

Its like deja vu. I know another incredibly famous person (not gonna name names) who was infamous for letting the bills pile up to the point where folks had to get lawyers and sue. Par for the course I guess, and what happens when you have shitty people looking after your finances. I'm sure this will be settled shortly. P has enuff money for it. I don't think I'll hold my breath for a US tour tho.
