OK... and NOW we're all waiting for the next Prince album.... bored again, aren't we...? Don't misunderstand me, and think I'm not appreciating the "20Ten" album, it's great about 7 /10 imo... the album is OK, could be better, could be worse....
AND now we're waiting all again, another year maybe.
Hmmmmmmm it tends to be very boring being a Prince fan - all this waiting for the *next* funk experience.
What do you think, what should we do and discuss in the meantime, untill another Prince CD is released again...
Aren't you bored... like me....

Enjoy new bootlegs.. Revisit old albums.. Or listen to something different  I just got some old U2 bootlegs/concerts on dvd. | |

but yeah, bored already here...for me I'd give 20Ten 4/10 for the four tracks i like out of ten.

Yup, I'm with you...the fact he won't even release 20TEN here in the States or give it for free with US Rolling Stone magazine like he did in Germany, I'm disappointed that Prince forgot about his US fans; but we're not missing much I suppose. Still, he should have released it thru iTunes at least. Oh, wait, the Internet is dead according to him. I'm just waiting for him to go on tour again. In the meantime, I wish he'd release some classic 80s concerts on Blu-Ray! I doubt it though. If Prince thinks the Internet is dead, I doubt if he even knows what Blu-Ray is. It's just a bit annoying we're back to the waiting position when it comes to interesting Prince material.
I give you....... that I'm very BORED here, whatever..... maybe my complaints only makes things worse.
Anyone else seems to be bored here: with a future release being a year - or something - away,
Maybe I should take a break away from Prince and his music, I don't know.
As a Prince fan, I'm just bored like hell again...... all the albums and singles - been there done that,
Maybe I am expecting too much from Prince and his music.....?
It is just not that interesting anymore..... to be fan of Prince.....

I completely understand what you mean but what you are holding out for aint ever gonna happen again. What's even more weird with life is do you think you would recognise it if it did happen. Prince now is a package deal. I've been listening to 20Ten and not just coz I love that album(which I do) it has completely reunited me with my Prince catalogue. I was drunk last night (AGAIN-and I need to stop this) and screaming how much I love Prince. I'm sat here with Exodus and the Greates Hits from the 90's and thinking.............bloody hell does music get better than this? Just been asked a question..... do pissed people ramble? Do they ...........do they.............or do they? x

I'm quite fine at the moment. I've been enjoying 20Ten and some other artists as well. I don't take the same approach that some orgers do when it comes to a new Prince CD. They tend to break it down to 10 second bit and overanalyze every single sound. At what point did it stop being music and turn into a science project? Sometimes it's cool to just sit back and listen and enjoy(or not, whatever your case may be). When you feel the need to break it down so completely it must not seem like a pleasurable experience any longer. It just becomes a task to complete. When  go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming! | |

I'm pretty chill at the moment, actually. Been listening to more Prince lately than I have since the month Lotusflow3r was released. Plus, all these comparison threads have prompted me to give another listen to everything he's released in the last decade. | |

it's funny, coz i was just thinking the other day how fortunate Prince fans are to have so much good music on a regular basis. some fans of other artists have to wait years for a new release. it's weird, coz 20ten has me appreciating previous releases as well...damn, planet earth has never sounded this good.
as for 20ten itself, still diggin' it as much as the first listen

right now i'm listening to 'resolution.' i'm loving it. Prince has found a new inspiration in life, and its something that people won't find in mainstream media...it's God and a fresh take on life. as for Planet Earth...it's the bomb...
