Prince @ Wembley, 1986

so I found this old cassette tape that I had bought in NYC in my car, under a seat. I had forgotten about it. I've had the tape for over 20 years. It's a prince concert @ wembley, in 1986.

were you there?

was it a good concert?

Wembley's a big stadium, isn't it?...did he sell it out?

thanks!

The 1986 Wembley gigs were held at Wembley Arena, not the stadium. Although Prince did play the stadium in later years.

The dates were 12th, 13th and 14th August 1986.

The arena is a 7,700 seat venue.

Unfortunately i was not at these gigs as i was too young to travel to London on my own.

What point are you trying to make? If you don't like the question being asked, don't reply, simple.

Some of us are interested in the past.

thanks for the clarification. I didn't know there was an arena. I thought only a stadium.

If you can't keep up, it's probably best you not join in the conversation at all.

Yes I was there. And some people had won tickets to the concert on MTV.

I was lucky enough 2 b in the Photographer booth and I have some great pictures of him

with roses in his hands that I had brought laying on the floor, blah blah blah A LA Prince..

I guess in those days he didn't throw them back to the crowd!!!

Y R U interested in knowing who was there?? Yes..it was a great show. Nina Hagen, Sting and many others were there and there was an after party at the Pink Elephant Club.

Wasn't this the concert where he invited Ron Wood & Sting with him on stage, and he tried to embarrass Sting by winking at his band to change songs? lol

I also loved when he said to Ron prior to "Miss You", 'You own the song, but when I'm done singing it, it will belong to me' mushy

And no was FAR from there lol I got this from the DMSR book.

Yes, that happened at the last Wembley gig (14th). Sounds like the kind of thing that would happen at an aftershow and not a main concert.
