Yes I have converted many a Prince fan using this video. That video came at the perfect time of my adolescence that I could taste the curves of those gold babes. I wore my video out!

Is that what he says? I always thought it was "until the 'gasm I had just jumped", but thought it was a bit of a shitty line. lol

Great song, great (cheap) video, love it. cool

Love it too. I loved that whole early 90's video max single stuff. It was another event era.. I'm assuming beyond the Thriller video thing that this was pushed at this time by Justify My Love by (Performed-yes Ingrid I'm aware of you). It just wouldn't happen now. I Know we all moan about Prince and U tube etc but don't you miss the days where everything was an event. Even now at 38 yrs I'd save my sweet (Beer) money to buy product like that.

Love it. I thought the lyric was "'gasm," too, Erik. Seems that "'gasm" would make more sense, but whatever. I need to have nasty, greasy sex to this song.......hmmm

Love this song too! Cool video. First use of the chained hat. I prefer Gangster Glam over this one, though. The dj at Glam Slam used to blast that one all the time.

Dang, i thought the line was "...until the gas in my chest jumped..." I guess I was way off! biggrin

Great song and video though. I loved those golden ladies in the cages. The whole vibe is very Prince.

I guess I'll be the voice of decent and say that the early '90s remix singles never appealed to me. Seems like Prince was just being trendy and letting others remix his songs because everyone else was doing the same thing. I think, for the most part, they sound terribly dated and I would have much preferred original b-sides.

This has completely different lyrics, it's not just someone remixing his song. I know some remixes were done by other, but I don't think this is one of them.

Eh, it's kind of halfway between a new song and a remix. Sure, it has new lyrics but the music is basically a continuation of "Gett Off." According to the credits it was remixed by Keith "KC" Cohen. I figure if Prince attached this guy's name to the song he must have made a significant contribution to it.

Obviously a lot of folks disagree with me and enjoy these releases but I've always disliked cd singles where all you get is multiple versions of the same song, especially from someone like Prince who has so many songs in the vault. Other than "Horny Pony" I don't think we got any new b-sides until "Rock and Roll Is Alive! (And It Lives In Minneapolis)." I can't help looking at the early-mid '90s as a missed opportunity for him to have released more new music. It would have been fantastic if he had done something similar to what a lot of British groups were doing at that time. You often got more new songs on the b-sides of singles released from an album than you got on the album!

Love the song.

"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really donĀ“t like the idea that he could have it all."

I didn't have the CD with me so wasn't sure if someone else remixed it or not. But I think it's still different than a typical remix since it clearly had Prince's involvement with all new lyrics.

I guess Sex from the Scanalous Sex Suite predates the period you're complaining about.

Beautiful from the Beautiful Experience is technically a remix but basically is a whole different song. With that maxi-cd he had restrictions from WB on what he could put on it.

Classic. I always thought the lok of the vid was a throwback to the 1999 era. To me, he looked sort of how he did on the Lets Pretend Were married 12 Inch cover.
