What did this appear on!??!? I saw the half clip on the 3 Chains O Gold Vhs; but I never seen the whole thing....until now...is this exsisting on a dvd or something?

Yea it's from the 2 night special from 1992 called Act 1/the Ryde Dyvine. I find it interesting that both the 3 Chains O Gold version and the Act 1 version are both essentially edited versions. I've always wished someone would edit them both 2gether and make a true full video, true 2 the album version.

The one from Act 1 has the whole song except the 2nd verse whereas the 3 chains O gold version has the first and second verse, and ends after the bridge.

This is ludacrise and rediculousness..I DEMAND it to be released

He wasn't on good terms with Carmen when the 3 Chains of Gold VHS was released in 1994- since he was seing other women on the side, she had started dating other men in L.A, an unforgivable sin in the purple harem - so in all likelyhood that's why the portion containing her rap was cut out of the officially released version

(They made up later, when she came crawling back begging for professional help and he gave her the gig as a regular Glam Slam dancer).

He was seeing other women from the get go. A lot of the videos on 3 Chains O' Gold are edited, so I don't think that had anything to do with it.

the one on youtube is not the full version. Its missing the second verse.

It was not the fact that he was seing other women that had anything to do with it, it was the fact that SHE was seing someone else (He reportedly wrote I Hate U about it). Prince's professional decisions has always been mashed up with his personal life, nothing new there.
