One of the best record stores on Earth and they've always had a GREAT Prince selection. Stuff that goes for ridiculous dollars on eBay will just be sittin' there on the shelves waiting for you to buy them. Doesn't surprise me that somebody there was smart enough to buy up a bunch of the newspapers at all.

Just called Berkeley and SF...none at Berkeley. I asked the guy at SF if they have any copies of the new Prince album (even though it's not in the U.S. yet)...he goes, "We're Amoeba man, of course!"

aww shucks. yeah, that's me. I'm the soul person for Amoeba SF. And obviously a huge Prince fan. I never want to fleece my fellow Prince fans, and always make sure my people get their goods.

I called Amoeba in Hollywood and they said don't have it; I don't think the guy on the phone actually bothered to really check though.

Great, but can we get Prince to come back to San Francisco for one more show! The last time he did a concert here was in 2007. I've never seen him live.

I just bought my copy Tuesday at the Amoeba in Hollywood, Ca . Btw who much did you pay i paid 19.99 and it had an import sticker on it. I also bought Vanity's Skin on Skin 12'' Record

Last time I went to Amoeba SF they also had a copy of the Vanity 6 CD--which I would have grabbed if I hadn't already bought it on the internet... And for a better price!

I just called. The guy said it would be $22 plus to get it shipped to LA. Hollywood has it??
