You Gotta Shake Something

Lemme tell ya, I really like this song. Sounds like all involved had a great time recording it. I have two "versions" of it. One is on 30 Years of Unreleased Funk and has a run time of 15:19, the other on Pimpin' Vol 1 with a run time of 15:17. The one on 30 Years is labeled as "Unreleased Version," but was there ever a "released" version? And are these two versions really the same? The Pimpin' version seems to have the instrumentation brought more to the "foreground" than the 30 Years one, if that makes sense. Does anyone know? Are there other versions out there? Gracias.

It's unreleased, and AFAIK there's only one version, it's from The Flesh sessions, but didn't make the cut for the sequenced LP.

I would wager that the two versions differ only in 'tweaking' (EQ/mixing levels tweaked) or source (different quality/generation).

Great jam, but the crowd noises actually start to get on my damn nerves pretty fast. Can't listen to this one very often, even when I'm in the Pince mood. I also believe there is only one version. Some of the stuff that's out there just sounds different from generations of ripping, burning, recording, transfering, burning, ripping, etc.
