Nothing new. P has been acting like a petulant child for years.

he was probably inspired to act that way by all the childish whining of his so-called fans.

Yeah. Riiiiiiiight.

lol I'm glad not to get all that silence my damn self... you probably can't do that here, it's weird how you can make a CD go up that high and it's actually the NUMBER of the track, that's just weird. Then again, Prince isn't what you call conventional. lol

I know he ain't aiming that 77 thing at me, you know, since I never went to that site. lol

That's the thing, what about people who did not have the money to pay for the site? You know times are tough, so "if" Prince did that he would be making people who didn't sign up have to fast forward to Laydown. Why would Prince or anyone else do the blank tracks anyway? Someone mentioned a trend... does this trend make any sense or a creative, artistic thing that no one can figure out? All I do anyway is take the cd, put it on another disc and not have the blank ones on there. I'm just confused as usual... the fun part of being a fan. razz

By the way, I'm down to about 212 pounds, so I figure if I can eat some more salad, and get to 195 or so, that damb T-Shirt may fit. Then again, it might shrink if I finally wash it!!!

So...it's Prince's fault you're overweight and couldn't fit the shirt you ordered? confuse

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Hey, at least us poor souls in the US who totally didn't download it illegally only got 10 tracks of Princely goodness without that silence nonsense.

Hold up! Wait a minute!

I don't have 20Ten. I'm in the USA and I didn't bother downloading it, so I'm kind of in the dark here.

If I'm understanding this thread correctly, there are songs on 20Ten, numbered one through ten and then, there are 66 tracks of silence, that lead to a 77th track.

And yet there are people that do not see the connection nor the point he's making?

You mostly have it right, except there are nine labeled songs, then a bunch of silent tracks, and a 77th track named "Laydown."

There are more than a few dimwits who can't make the connection.

You think losing 17 pounds will solve that problem?

If you were a REAL fan, you'd lose 77 pounds.

Funny. I'm overweight if you look at those charts that some small dr. wrote in 1939. I'm damb fine when I look in the mirror though...for my age...anyways. And seriously, Prince has nothing to do with how much I weigh. The entire thread was a flawed but funny theory that Prince placed 77 tracks on 20Ten to make fun of how he sorta ripped us off for the $77 using the internet that he would later become a suspect in the actual murder of the dead internet. His business relationship with his fans is about as awful as any pop star in history....but I'd rather be given great music by an asshole than get shitty music from a great businessman.

Furthermore, I was one of the suckers that signed up about 6 seconds after the damb thing was up. If I ever am sad at being "one of the first." This means there was no XL T-Shirt available. After I ordered, I got an email about changing the size, and they never answered my reply. Nothing like great customer service. But back to the music. The web site was Lotus Failure, there were no concerts within 1500 miles of Florida, but the music....Lotus Flow3r was my favorite Prince Album since....well, a very long long time. Oddly, MPLS Sound was probably the worst. It makes New Power Soul seem like some kind of masterwork to me.

Actually "Laydown" is labeled on the back of the cd, look carefully at what appears to be leaves and branches... it is the word Laydown. smile

I'm fat because of a failed back surgery!.. but I'm still funky LOL..

This is off topic, but I just wanted to let everyone know that my little girl who is due in October has been kicking up a storm! My wife, who doesn't care for Prince, says I can't play his music around the baby...lol. Uh, oh.... I guess when mommy isn't around, what mommy don't know won't hurt her... then again, it could back fire if the baby's first word is "Laydown"!! lol

I was just thinking with my ever-shrinking brain: Prince placed 77 tracks on 20Ten to represent the $77 he took or shafted us for on Lotus Flow3r. Imagine the ultimate slap in the face to fans: I take 77 from them, and then make 77 tracks to symbolize the 77 slaps!! Even more funny: I will continue to have tracks run into one another to make it hard to make an edited copy, and the tons of empty tracks will also make them have to edit the silence out!!! Ok, although I sort of agree with the post I am writing. I really love the music of Lotus Flow3r, and strongly like the music of 20Ten. I sorta like some of MPLS Sound, and Elixeur(my dummy spelling.) I just hate ol' Ecnirps Business Practices, and really did wonder if the 77 tracks was him making fun of us for losing our money!

Yes, that's a very sharp conclusion Mr. Watson.
