He only talks about it at the beginning for about ninety seconds and then there's a TERRIBLY out of sync (but funky) performance clip. He mentions at the beginning of the clip that he never thought he'd share a stage with Larry Graham or Prince. Seems like he actually won the crowd over by the end of the performance we see in the video. But I have no idea at what point in his show this took place. I'm really happy for the guy. Been listening to him for years (since the Supercollider days) and I can say that I absolutely never expected to see him opening for Prince myself.

Love Lidell but I doubt Prince would ever do it. Not to say it wouldn't be perfect, Just that P wouldn't do it.

Lidell doesn't conform to Prince's JW sensibilities, despite the fact that Lidell is writing the music and albums we wish Prince would write. If Prince had written "I wanna be Your Telephone" we'd all be crapping our pants right now.

Seriously!... Although Prince did kind of wrtie Telephone. Jamie lifts the beats and the bassline straight from the bootleg version of Jerk Out. There are some videos of Jamie doing Telephone with just a looper pedal, and Jerk Out lifting becomes even more obvious.

Couple weeks ago, maybe. The first shows Prince did over there on this current jaunt, I think. I believe Jamie even got his name on the promotional posters.
