Prince is highly photogenic and takes amazing pictures most of the

time with a few exceptions where he has taken God awful pictures.

I don't know why but the pictures where he does the "Stare" like in

the July issue of Ebony kinda creep me out or I feel sorta of unnerved.

It is like he is probing the deepest recesses of your soul for demons.

Maybe, he is calculating ways to take over the world or to start a cult. :lol

No, and it actually created a generation of 30-40 somethings that refuse to smile for photo's. This odd subspecies of humans are under the impression that come hither stares make you appear to be deeper than you actually are. This subset is a legion numbering in the millions to which i belong lol.

True, i just think he made it a trademark-default look. He gets picked on because at times its over the top and easy to laugh at. In recent yrs. the photoshoped pics have become cartoonish lol.

I love that stare because it's pure attitude but it did creep me out when I first noticed it. In 1980 when I first bought the "Dirty Mind" album I was 13 years old. I had a stereo in my bedroom at my grandmother's house and I had just finished listening to a few tracks before I went to bed. I had the album propped up against the wall and I couldn't get to sleep because every time I would look over and see it in the dark while I was laying there, I felt like I was being watched. Watched by someone evil. I had to get up and put the album back in my stack of records and it still took me a while to get to sleep.

I kinda got that feeling again the next year when I bought "Controversy" in which he also had a badass stare. This time it was even spookier because it was the first time I ever heard Prince in his non-falsetto voice on songs like "Ronnie Talk To Russia", "Annie Christian", and "Jack U Off" and it just creeped me out because it sounded kinda "crazy" (crazy as in insane) to my young ears at the time and the way he stared into that camera felt like he was looking dead at you.

Thanks for the reminder! Just signed up. Very disappointed at the lack of "Do U Like Prince's Cameltoe" threads over there though, so I might have to do something about that.

Regarding Prince's stare, I actually fashioned a scarecrow of rolled up copies of The Watchtower, a stack of unused Carmen Electra CDs and a massive oversized picture of Prince's head to keep those darn neighborhood kids out of my pear trees. I thought I would have to rig Prince's eyes with laser pointers, but apparently "the stare" did the trick. Not one of those buggers have been in our yard since.
