Yeah, Prince's version is "Neon" and Sheila's version is "Noon".. Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

Yeah, Prince and The Revolution's rehearsal version of Noon Rendezvous is great. Oh yeah, the full version is 18 minutes long! It's amazing how many great songs he's given away that could have stayed with him and The Revolution. I'm pretty sure there is more from where this came from.

Soz, i forgot to clarify it was the Prince version i was meaning. I do agree with you guys, its such an amazing song. Yes you are right if it was released now, folks would be panning it. It sits wonderfully encapsulating a particular time during Prince's Creative peak. Effortlessly emotive, and the drawn out version (18 min) is remarkable!

Yes you are right. It kind of relates to a point on the 20 ten review thread where someone eluded to the fact that the true standing(in terms of quality) of a Prince album can never be realised at the point of its release. That is why i take all of these off the cuff reviews of new material with an extremely large pinch of salt.

I think the Sheila E version is awesome too.

I do love Sheila's version also. Her version is slept on, in my opinion. It's good. I do agree, if the Prince and The Revolution's version was released 2day that it would have fans would go crazy 4 it (especially if the quality is better). [Edited 7/16/10 17:48pm]

I'm deprived, have only heard the version on Sheila's album. I love her version though. (sorry, my phone typed something other than what I was trying to say, it's a "smart" phone.) [Edited 7/17/10 1:54am] "So fierce U look 2night, the brightest star pales 2 Ur sex..."

omg! i thought i was the only one tht felt this way. neon rendevous moves me everytime! i have love for sheilas version too. but it never gives me the feeling prince's does.

That's just the name of the bootleg, the song is still "Noon Rendezvous".
Any way, yes Prince's version is even better than Sheila's, would seriously love a studio overdub version.

Exactly. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I can kinda clearly hear him say Neon in both versions of the song. Rehearsal and Live show....But ok if you say so [Edited 7/20/10 17:24pm] Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.
