The topic-title is misleading imo. You can't automatically assume that Prince didn't want to meet Clare. People can work perfectly from a distance.

it's not misleading at all,i read an interview with Clare and he said that at the begining of his colaboration with Prince he and Prince were supposed to meet to discuss the details of Fishers input, yet something happend and they didn't meet. Prince didn't want to meet mr. Fisher because he thought it would be a bad luck or something.

Okay then ... nevertheless, their collaboration worked. We've been treated with great arrangements from Clare.

As much as this has always surprised me, it's likely that very few of us (if any) would know Clare Fisher's name, or have ever heard anything he orchestrated, if he hadn't worked so frequently with Prince.

I don't think he would have been completely unkown. He's worked on his own and with plenty of other people. I just think there's a good chance that VERY FEW of US would know who he is if it wasn't for his work with Prince. So it doesn't actually matter how they worked together. We still know who the guy is because his name was on all those records back in the day.

I actually knew of Clare Fisher through his work with Rufus and Chaka Khan (although I thought it was a woman at the time)...I've always loved his musical soundscapes! If it breaks when it bends, U better not put it in!

So true. I have the "WoW" CD where Clare Fischer and his son are discussing what Prince had send to Clare regarding "Parade" (musical direction). "A united state of mind will never be divided
The real definition of unity is 1 People can slam their door, disagree and fight it But how U gonna love the Father but not love the Son? United States of Division"
