20Ten Sounds the Same? Does anyone else love 20Ten but think that all the songs sound too similar? Compassion, Beginning Endlessly, Sticky Like Glue, Lavaux, Act Of God...does anyone else get the impression that he used the same instruments for different melodies?

Doesn't he do that with most all his albums in order to give it an identity? My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

I'd say no on that one. Does a lot of his shit from the past 10 years sound the same? Fuck yeah. Lack of creativity.
To answer the OP: No. 20Ten has a flavor to it, but it doesn't sound like an EP.

Songs sounding similar and unmemorable was a problem that was criticized by fans and critics from Parade to Sign O' the Times to Black Album.
Shockedelica, Housequake, Hot Thing, Forever in My Life all use a similar rhythm trick and similar keyboard noises/instruments are what brands albums like D&P, Rainbow Children, Graffiti Bridge... etc... etc. Dirty Mind too. And 1999. Many songs sharing similar instrument voices and rhythm tricks. My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid
