I haven't heard a note yet, even though I know where to go and find it online. I made that mistake listening to Planet Earth (a legal, high-quality stream), and got bored of it before I could buy it (I finally picked it up when Lotusflower came out, 'cause HMV had it for $3.99).

I'll buy it, like I do every Prince album, but it'll soften the blow if I'm not already tired of it when I do.

I'm still holding out for my CD in the U.S. -- soon.

If it's not happening I can always order it.

I listened to a second of one song and stopped it.

I want the total experience.

I've found music, like movies, are better without "spoilers."

The CD will still be new to me whenever I get it.

Is anyone else holding out for a CD?

?????

I've only heard a brief sample of three of the songs that was posted in another thread about a week or two ago. Two of them sounded good and one of them sounded great.

Wow, if you liked it Andy... I can't wait to hear it. I wasn't even that interested until reading your post.

We have similar taste in music from the 80's. So I think I may like 2010.

I just heard the whole thing Thursday. It is fantastic. It's MPLS sound done way better. Each song is great. Future Soul Song is beautiful. The lyrics are pretty good to. This really does sound like old dirty Prince meets new more aware Prince and comes together in a way that works perfectly. I would like to have heard more guitar, but a lot of his old classics did'nt focus on guitar either. To me this is his best studio effort since The Rainbow Children. I really liked Mpls Sound and Lotus Flower but this is the direction Prince needs to take his 2000's sound. It is polished however it sounds like Prince wanted to write this music. 3121 and Planet Earth seemed forced to me. Its like he really wanted to be home studying scripture and making Peace with his existance but instead he had to be Prince and make some good music. Mpls Sound and Lotus Flower sounded like he was gettin back into the music. Now Prince is having fun again. This really is a more mature version of albrums like Controversy and Dirty Mind. Lay Down is tight as hell. Purple Yoda indeed. Put the politics aside and just listen to all the funk guitar, harmonies, synths, and his backup singers sound way better here. The back up on 3121 and PE sounded kind of cheesy. This is just a strong solid collection of songs. Don't think Cause and Effect is any indication of the sound here because its not.It has the new wave rock feel but with better lyrics. I liked the music to Cause and Effect but not the lyrics. When you hear this music there is no reason for any true Prince fan to be dissapointed. I dont care what Prince thinks about the internet. Just please keep the music coming.

Well I kinda feel for those who haven't heard it yet hoping to get a physical copy. But if we're here by December and no news of the album reaches the U.S. then what will y'all do?

Let's just say that I have heard the entire album, but it is always better to have the actual cd. I ordered 2 copies and should get them today, hopefully. I'm still a junkie when it's funky, so I had to listen to it early. Still ain't the same unless you've got your headphones on (copy one) or driving down the interstate (copy 2)... that's why I buy two copies of every cd. Yes, I'm a fool... you don't have to tell me.

Trust me, all of you who are holding out for the album. Unless you have been totally oblivious to reviews from people around the world (not just here) the album is incredible. You may or may not like it, as I have stated about his music many times before... but it is still cool to get new music. He could record banging on kitchen pots and pans and make it funky as hell! You'll like the album. smile

I have not heard any of 20 Ten yet. I want to be surprised. I am waiting for a US copy. If Prince decides not to release it in the US then I guess I will try e-bay. Maybe Prince will use Target or Rolling Stone in the US? I hoping by the Fall we will have a US release date.

Just don't buy a twenty buck version those greedy brits are trying to sell. Gullible Prince fans buy them though. Shame on them.

I understand your frustration - I am a Brit but have extra copies - will gladly send for free if you post me your address.

Prince fans should not extort profit.

Shame on the society that promotes such ideas - music can be free

I bought my two copies for about $15.00 and that was including shipping and handling from some dude in London. They came packaged very nicely. If it is released here in the states, and has more to it's packaging like lyrics, etc.. I will buy it. I know that Prince recently said that his years are more than 365 days, but going by our standards 2010 ain't gonna' be around that long! LOL

Well that would be a way to have added value.

Have a 2nd disc entitled 2011 included in the U.S. retail version.

Can't imagine it happening though.
