V, I thought Hot Summer was a simple, sweet song. I also must confess that after several listens Cause & Effect kind of grew on me too. Don't tell anyone though.

you know whatt? you're right. it does kind of fit in that new-wavey sort of vibe that some of the tracks have. but i don't think it's as strong as anything here. maybe a little re-working of the lyrics and vocals would do some good and make it fit in the slot that Walk In Sand has inserted itself from whatever dimension it wandered in from.

Yes-Act does fit in their perfectly! Those five songs work nicely together

Prince left it out because it's even worse than the rest of the album (and that is saying A LOT!).

I love Hot Summer. I've replaced Sea Of Everything with it on my 20Ten playlist. Don's like SOE but Hot Summer makes me bob my head.

I think it's a cute song but it's not one of my favourites or anything.

It was really funny at Werchter on Saturday - it rained all the way through Larry Graham's set and it finally stopped or slowed to a drizzle after Prince started up. In introducing 'Hot Summer' he said something like 'And now that the rain has stopped it's going to be a .... ' (cue music and chorus) After a few bars the heavens OPENED and he quickly switched to Purple Rain ...

I would actually prefer Hot summer or cause and effect rather than that piece of crap called everybody loves me....That could be the worse track ever...from any artist!
