I'm still shocked he got the sides and back of his hair cut/shaved down. It's not his entire head like I suggested in one of these recent hair threads, but it's still been cut close like I wanted to see. Surprising. Now I'm wondering why he doesn't have the top part of his hair flowing back like that hot cartoon. I love that shirt, lol.

He doesn't have enough hair to have it flowing back it's really thinning.

That's why I'll be settling for listening to the audio of these shows and even that's starting to be a chore because it's the same ol' same ol' (on top of the band really ain't that funky).

no they're not, they were loose long sleeves and in the end they looked like sweat bands

Of course it´s thinning...he´s 52, not 25...but I do know a lot of 25 year olds who have thinner hair than Prince.

His hair looks great...don´t know what his secret is (hair transplants? Propecia?) but whatever it is, his hair looks very good, strong and healthy for his age, considering what he´s done to it over the years. I doubt he´s wearing a wig because that would´ve been known by now.

The more natural he looks, the better for his hair at this age. And also better to look after. Otherwise the shows would start very late again. Since he´s been rocking this hairstyle, he´s really been punctual so far.

Remember the 1993/94 era and the Typhoon....dude never showed up in time to his shows because it must have taken ages to do his hair. This new style is good for the fans, the band and the show. And it makes him look very young. And it´s probably good for his scalp, too.

lol at your siggy. His secret was probably longer hair, flicking it up and lots of hairspray but his hair has been thin for at least 6 years, in 2004 and 2007 you could see it well during concerts when the nasty light spots wandered through his hair. But I agree with you, plenty of young men would be jealous of his hair but although it's completely normal, to me it's a bit scary to see him loose his hair, Prince = lots of delicious curly hair

The way he wears it now is perfect, it could maybe be even a bit shorter on top. I love the short sides.

First speculations about the state of his hair were heard in 1995, during some of his Gold Experience/Ultimate Live Experienc tour´s aftershows. People sitting in the balcony of the Paradiso in Amsterdam spoke about it, and some others think that they blackened his visible scalp in the "Same December" videoclip ( they say it was visible before and then later, when they showed the clip at the NPG store, they supposedly made the light spot appear darker and hairier).

Whatever. I think he´s still got great hair for his age, regardless of what his secret is. And I like the fact that he, despite being a highly vain and narcisstic person, still makes fun of his hair , like that line in Prettyman where he sings "If there should come a time when it won´t grow, I´ll do it like my brother and buy some mo´..."

In concerts he often changed the "brother" for " do it like Elton John and buy some mo´" .

A lot of celebrities with thinning hair get transplants these days. That technology has really advanced. See Sly Stallone or Sean Pean, they have great looking hair even though it used to be thin and receding some years ago.

Prince should really write a health and beauty and fitness book. Dude looks extremely young and healthy these days....skinny and athletic, full hair, nice skin.

I was really impressed when I saw how much he ran around on stage last week, chasing Sheila, dancing, playing guitar and congas and piano, the man seems to be in good shape.

That hair piece is NOT happening..
