I don't hear the "All The Midnights..." vibe on this one at all ( & thank God...I HATE that song & "Lion of Judah" too, for that matter!!!). "Walk In Sand " takes me to the "For You"/ "Prince" era, something about it... the sweet melody, & innocent , airy visions of spending time with that honey. Loving it.

nice ballad like it alot

I absolutely love this song!! My favorite track off this CD.

i really can't get into this one... my mind always seems to wander when it's on, so i don't even feel like i've really heard it all the way through. it just doesn't grab my attention and keep it.

A little too corny for me

I'll be honest.. I think this one is a pretty nice track.. I like the instrumentation.. He carries a nice little melody in a simple way.. and I hear little tidbits of instrumentation that just enhance the melody.. nice.

and the lyrics are very "safe"... i think that is totally fine for a track like this.

This one is unexpectedly growing on me, but it's still my least favorite of the three ballads on 20Ten. There's a couple time when he sings "walking in sand" and if feels like he should sing it again right after. It's kinda odd.

Something about it makes me think it holds a little magic that shines over time..

LIGHT A MATCH!!!!...Prince just farted....oh wait is that lavender I smell...probably is. My first song on the cd I don't like....yet...but I do see this as a kotex commercial...wish I didn't read that comment but that was some funny shit. Maybe he can use this in Purple Rain 2 as the Kotex Kid....sorry,last one

This is just lovely! Simple yet gorgeous melody and delicate arrangements. Prince is a master at writing these kind of songs and he has done plenty but I just love them every time.

Another real soul song.

Truly beautiful melody and vocals.

His vocals are stand-out on the whole album.

Agreed. It is NOTHING like 'All the Midnights in the World'! People are free to their own interpretations to a point, but that is just plain wrong!

Yes his vocals sounds really good nowadays.

If you listen to the concerts and the 20ten album

his voice sounds incredible again!

OK I kinda give in it's not too bad. Still kinda wanders off but nice R&B ballad filler.

Not his most original lyrics, but to be fair, the man could sing the phonebook and still sound like he's serenading a beautiful woman.

I feel that I really shouldn;t like this one, but kinda sorta do? Weird.

For me it was a stand-out. Each to their own I suppose. Judging by your avatar we have very different musical tastes.
