For real! This song is my favorite song on 20TEN and another 5 mins of "Act of God" would make me happier than a pig in the mud. Prince doesn't even have to sing, just let the music go in whatever direction that it wants to, like the last few mins of "I Wanna Be Your Lover".

that sounds decidedly capitalist. Give them what they really own! In socialism you own nothing, it is all controlled by the state. The state may lie and say the people own it but that is a lie fed to the masses to keep them in line.

It's very likeable! It's catchy and I absolutely love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm surprised this song wasn't more well-received. I think it is the catchiest number on the whole album by far.

Thanks for clearing that up. I now fully understand and will never again make a joke that doesn't fully take into account Prince's bullshit lyrics.

Was listening to Thom Hartmann show (politics) and the lead in song after one of the breaks was THIS SONG!

Decent, not my favorite song musically on the album, but the lyrics actually work better than some of his more blatantly preachy songs.

Here he points out what humanity & government does "in the name of god" it does not come across as hypocritical or preachy, but almost genuinely topical, as he surely would love to be considered!!

Sorry, Mars but you got the tracks out of order--I think "Act of God" is the strongest song on this set, lyrically and musically. Everything about it works--it is moving, the segs work, it is the best one. People may argue over it but in my opinion..can't beat it on this one!
