Mmm. Too bad the lyrics annoy the crap out of me. This is the first mix I don't dig, either. The funky quitar chords are too loud and that really cool synth line is too low. Could have been great, but missed the target.

Nice funk in the background. It's a standout though the lyrics still stick out like a sore thumb. Sounds better on stereo.

I'm still not able to get into this one. Where some of the tracks on this album feel retro in a good way, this one just feels dated. Don't like the lyrics at all, either.

I do like it

But it sounds like something that didn't make it (but should've ) into Mavis' album (see my initial post on this thread).

I did smile at the folk "being free to be who they wanna be" (or something to that effect) cuz it took me back to the all-inclusiveness of Prince music I initially fell in love with. Of course that might mean be who u wanna be as long as Jehova say it's ok for all I know.
