I liked it, Prince let him go to front of stage now and again but he didn't overdo it.

And let's face it, a lot of us have been listening to vuvzelas (sp?) for weeks now, now there's an 'instrument' that deserves to be sucked into a black hole.

I saw Prince on Roskilde festival.. First I was just like "wtf" when this guy came out with his harmonica.. But I didn't really care. It was a little bit frustrating, because I was sooo excited for Prince to go on stage and this guy came instead, but I forgot all about it, when Prince finally showed up. smile

Oh, you play guitar?
Excuse me, while I take my clothes off..

Perfect... a thread for harmophobics. Just gotta complain about something...anything

Naw. I like the new album. I only complain about shi that is a godawful detriment to his live show. Good try though.

Without any knowledge of the harp, I like it. Aerosmith and The Stones did a fantastic job incorporating it into their music. Prince is doing the same and it's sexy and funky!

In answering your question... I LOVE it.

LOVE it.

Prince obviously likes the energy he brings 2 his instrument, which is high energy.

He raised the roof on "Ol Skool Company" on Leno, as Prince did.

I appreciate high energy, passionate players... like Shiela E, as a great example.

I agree. Loved that performance and Yonnet was great! smile

I was waiting for prince to pull out his fiddle, and start square dancing with a straw hat

I got nothing against an harmonica but I've seen him in Paris last year and at Werchter last week and he doesn't really add something to the songs he's allowed to play on. Most of the time I have a hard time hearing him at all. And was it at Berlin or Werchter where he was supposedly playing his ass off and suddenly Prince starts playing his own part, rudely interrupting the harmonica play and this Eric startles and turns around with this silly look in his eyes because it seemed that Prince acted as if he wasn't playing... maybe something I made up? But it seemed that way.
