Ok - Prince is trying to create an aura of another black album -- this time by pulling the 20ten album before its official release and thereby creating a bootleg demand. He built this up by having an interview (in the mirror) where he lets the interviewer hear the songs but is overly mysterious about them "i.e. 'let them find out on there own'"

He made this compilation for bootlegging to stir up interest in him again. This time, however, he'll be in charge of when the masses get this pirated copy because he hasn't yet delivered the goods to the paper.

i am thinking something similar. what if he put it out there that the internet was dead and over and then created this whole mania regarding 20TEN by pulling it at the last moment. a few copies get out and creates a buzz on the internet. Everyone giving it away for free as a pay back to his comment about the internet. 20Ten then becomes the biggest pirated CD of all time.

but behind the surface it was planned all along. Secretly while at paisley park all digital copies of all songs on 20TEN were infected with a virus. The most DEADLiest virus known to the world wide web. a virus that spread like a wild fire that could not be contain. A virsus that attached itself to mainfraim, termial, phone connection, pc, mac, computer produced and slowly destroyed it from the inside.

what if the reason it wasn't released via the internet is so that he could not be charged with any kind of crime for detenation.

and by giving it away freely the blame is place on the first person who puts it up for download.

the virus deletes everything that it comes in contact with and also has a protectes device that self destructs when it comes in contact with any kind of anti-virus program.

what if 20TEN caused the bubonic pleague of the world wide web.

20TEN will bring forth the armagedon 2 the world wide web

Not just phones and computers ... through the electric wiring , it can reach any electrical appliance. Your coffeemaker, your DVD-player, hairdryer, lawnmower ... they will ALL be affected by the 20Ten Armageddon VIRUS.

The most obvious explanation seems the most likeliest: The French giveaway broke the 'street date' of the 10th. Since it happened so late, this was probably a mis-communication (not hard to believe in Prince World(TM) eh?).

Remember the only people who know about a delay are us, since we're watching it all like a hawk, and the French newspaper when their release is delayed (by a week or whatever) - this isn't some big drama like TBA, it's just a little hitch.

Except it hasn't been pulled. The French release was postponed, but it'll be out elsewhere on Saturday.
