but to be honest-i haven't put Lotus on for ages

put it on at the weekend-but took it off after a couple of minutes

though i think i played it to death when it came out

and im too itching to hear 20ten to concentrate at the mo

absolutely agree. the only thing i don't like about it is that it doesn't go on

for another minute or two.

the ending is a bit abrupt. on the album, in the sequence, it works ok, but

if you take the song off the album and play it on it's own, the ending just

sound cut off. that's a shame for such a good song.

love everything about it. the vocal delivery on this one is so beautiful and

as nouveau said, mystical and trippy, yet not dogmatic. yay.

the backward vocals are a nice added touch. that's one of the things that

i like so much about the Lotusflower album, the songs sound well rounded

and full of good ideas with a wonderfull lush sound, yet they don't sound

as over produced or produced to death, if you will, as a lot of his other 00s

and late 90s productions.

also, nurse, did you notice Boom clocks in at 03:19

There are quite a few folks out there that think the entire Lotus album was a train wreck from top to bottom. And while there is nary a "genius" song in the group, there are most definitely 5 or 6 very good songs IMO. And this is right up there with them.

There is a digitized feel to the track (especially his vocals) that is sometimes a little too cute for its' own good, but the song itself is really solid. While I can be really hard on P's 2000-2009 output, I don't understand how many more people didn't like this one.

Love it but.....it is one of the few songs that I don´t really understand even though I understand every single word in it.

Digital Garden is another one of songs I don´t really "get".

And yes I still love Lotusflow3r single disc. As I stated on another thread, from what I gather, 20ten is most def not a rock affair. Which is fine. We got that with Lotusflow3r. Imo. But yes Boom is so nice.

I like it a lot. It's one of the few songs I really like on that album.
