How would you change Prince?

This thread is for those who dislike most of what Prince has done over the last 10-15 years. I have to say that cuz I expect a lot of "I wouldn't change anything. He's perfect the way he is. It's his journey" comments.

Having said that, if Prince were like a computer and you could program him in a way that would make him interesting to you again, what would you do?

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I'd make him even shorter, with an even bigger Napoleon complex.

Depends. Did he pay with a $20 or did he pay with a $10?

Fits the subject.

No, he's not perfect.

But my thing is, if I'm not in moral position to change the attitude of my family, I sure as hell am not in moral position to change the attitude of a stranger I happen to admire. Why would I? Its HIS journey, not mine

Look folks, it's not that hard.

Personally, I would involve band members from different musical backgrounds, do less jazzy/soul type music, lose the pimp look, do less medleys, play more obscure tracks from the catalogue, etc.

I don't think folks are finding it hard. I think folks are now becoming resistant to attempting to project their own ideals onto Prince - which is not entirely interesting or relevant.

Well, with all the complaining going on, why not express specifics on what we'd like to change?

He's a descent weight now, but he was scary in the mid 90's.

I agree. He was better off just being spiritual.

This thread represents everything that is wrong with u as a fan and many others. It shows a lack of reality and maturity. Prince will be who ever he needs to be. Just as hopefully u are self-actualized. he is not a puppet created for our amusement. Maybe if u appreciated him as a human being instead of as a toy for your self-involved pleasure u would learn something.

You're better off ignoring this thread.

It would probably be more productive to work on yourself. Change your perception of him, rather than expecting him to change to suit you, a person he doesn't know from Adam.

No - that's not how it works. Semantics like that are for those who do not think.
