I think many people have misundertood what he means - there's no way giving the CD with a tabloid can really influence illegal downloading....what Pribce meant was, from RECORDING ARTISTS point of view it fixes the problem...he's getting paid the same amount regardless, moneys in the bank, illegally distribute all you like.

If he was taking a cut of sales then he'd mind.

On the one hand he's right but it certainly highlights the 'i'm alrightvJack' mindset

ahhh a smart booty! !! , you clearly missed my point, which is this is Prince's CAREER of choice, because music appears to be FREE to alot of people, its still a business- A VERY PRICEY ONE, Prince has to provide for himself and has an entire band and staff, at the end of the day no matter how well off he is , they are still providing a service and product so the money should be right first, they all need to LIVE. So to say how dare Prince take care of the BUSINESS part of this first before delivering FREE MUSIC is kinda nutso
