"Prince Of Paisley Park" documentary (from 1991) on Belgian digital TV channel Acht on Monday http://acht.tv/nl/program...rincepais/
Most likely this is a version of the well-know "Prince Of Paisley Park" episode of BBC arts series Omnibus: http://www.tv.com/omnibus...mmary.html

I'm watching this now, and it's astonishing. Still. Almost 20 years after I first saw it.
Those awesome clips from the 1988 London aftershow: Prince singing "Happy Birthday" to Cat, Mica Paris getting the mic to sing "Just My Imagination" from the audience, Ron Wood guesting on "Miss You" -- if only we could get that show on DVD. Hell, it could even be on Blu-ray, since that gig was taped on film.
Prince and Mavis working on "God Is Alive".
Man, I so want that unreleased documentary they got that footage from.
And I'm reminded of the other excerpt they once showed on BBC 2, in "Behind The Beat" on "Def II", showing Prince laying down the bassline for "Partyman". And showing a quick clip of a rehearsal/jam session, with Prince on keys, chewing some gum and with a huge grin on his face.
And now it ends with him singing "The Ladder" during a rehearsal for a Lovesexy gig.
Where the fuck has that guy gone? © Bart Van Hemelen

Yep. I would pay a lot of money for that. Much more than this shitty opus-ipod costs. | |
