If they had wanted him to perform they could have cut a good portion of coonery from the show, like folk singing Purple Rain twice and all....Keyshia Cole ruining Airplanes....all Nicki Minaj appearances.....

I feel what you are saying....BET does that crap all the time. I want to know who was in charge of program planning, because they should not do it again next year. I mean to have 2 artists doing the same song really sucked, especially when one of those artists is tone deaf.

I always do...it was especially fun just watching the show, I'm usually working it in someway. The performances in rehearsal were better, probably because they were more relaxed then and performing FOR Prince probably made them nervous. I still enjoyed it though

Sounds like you were at the rehearsals too, as that is when another orger said that happened. At the actual show I think she did okay. I think a lot of the audience members weren't that familar with her, but apparently there was interest from viewers, because I heard the next day she blew up on Twitter, after that performance. If you check out her latest videos, long before the BET show, her videos have received tons of views on youtube and other sites. I think eventually, she will change up her appearance, but right now she's starting to get recognized by a lot more. I wish her well.
