On first listen - I like it. For once, it doesn't sound like he's trying too hard. Nothing feels forced - which is a good thing after stuff like Feel Better and Chocolate Box (not to be confused with Disco Jellyfish).

I agree with this in that 20TEN sounds like the "electro-funk/r&b" companion that MPLSound may not have been after all. With LF and now 20TEN, it sounds like he's been able to pull out the rock and r&b sides and feel at home and relaxed with them. not trying too hard, but pulling it off better than in a long time. MPLSound, in retrospect, does feel a little bit labored compared to this.
though the best tracks from that in place of Walk in Sand & Sea of Everything and in addition to what else is here would probably make a killer 75 minute disc "does my cock look fat in these jeans?" |

"Here" would be amazing on this disc. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. |

Not really sure how I feel about him referring to himself as the purple yoda
Overall, I'm satisfied with the album. The last 4 songs kind of become a bit meh but not totally unbearable. chill..prince doesnt like men being front row, makes it hard to sing the ballads |

The "purple Yoda" thing is so stupid, it's funny. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. |

I take that back. Sea of Everything is alright. But that transition to its intro beat sounds like "Here" is about to start. Which would be amazing "does my cock look fat in these jeans?" |

If that was funny I forgot to laugh. I swear that sounds so corny. But then again he's made purple his trademark color since 1982 so I guess it's gonna always be brought up in some form or another in his music. |

Yes you are. Unless he did that droning sound that he did in the beginning of "1999" and put it on "Laydown" then you may have a point. However, he does drone out the female voices in the chorus at one point. [Edited 7/8/10 20:13pm] |

Here's one thing that's kinda bugging me about this entire album, I think this is the first one where he's totally relied on a female background singing group. It was like Prince and the Princesses. [Edited 7/8/10 20:21pm] |

20Ten stickies being revised... Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |
