I was thinking the same thing. Too bad it's not about the return of PP2. On that note....... Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews. | |

Prince just loathes Pepe Willie, even though Prince got a career because of his work. It may even be possible that Willie invented the Minneapolis sound, Prince borrowing a bunch.
Willie was right to release the music. Putting P's picture on them, making it look like Prince approved was a bit underhanded, but that's another story.

Really? That's too bad. I guess there's a history there that only Prince and Pepe are privy to. I'm sure Prince wasn't too happy with the ton of releases Pepe put out that he played on as a session man, but when the master tapes were auctioned off, Purps could have bought them himself and burned them. Whatever happened to Nathan Wright Interview? Did someone flag him from speaking with you? You promoted that quite a bit and then nothing? Care to share any background on that? | |

I got a lot of flack on here when I scheduled Nathan to come on the show. I've never met him, but apparently he's made a lot of Prince fans angry, and I did not want to have peoples' opinions of him reflect badly on me or my show. Understandable. But do you think having Pepe Willie is going to help with the perception of your show? My opinion is you are going to have haters as soon as you talk directly to Prince associates and information is cast in any perceived unflattering light. I'd just push them aside and have on controversial guests. Because the fans are going to turn on you, that's part of the territory. Next time, I'd stick to your guns and not blow the whistle and call it off. That's where you will get the respect from not worrying about peoples opinions. Just put a disclaimer at the beginning of your show | |
