I think it's the version now widely available at retailers (at least in Europe).

I only had the untracked original cd, then I decided I needed the tracked one, went to a retailer (Fnac in this case), picked one copy from the shelves with the fingers on my other hand crossed and when I got home and played it, BAM! there was the tracked one!

Lovesexy has been tracked in the UK (and most European countries) for many many years now.

So as long as you buy one new rather than second hand from a UK retailer then it's guaranteed to

be tracked (if you buy a second hand one, then there's always a slim chance it might be an old

untracked version).

It's amazing that this topic still comes up as regularly as it does.

I'm sure I got my first retail tracked copy of LS in about 1995, so they've been tracked at least 15 years.

There r 2 diffent cds.Back in 1988 there was a Promo Tracked that is very Hard 2 find.I have the orginal one.That one sells $200-$300.The cheap Germany copy is on ebay all the time,I have that one also.I listen to that one more because i can replace it.

Back in the day Lovesexy was banded and people hated it.People were sick of Prince and all his shit!Only the past 7 years people began 2 care for it.Back in 88 everyone wanted the Black Lp(BOOT).Lovesexy was lame.

I believe that is the case. The version I have (well, HAD) is the promo and it fades, but I have a digital tracked version that doesnt.

How about loading up the cd u have in a software program like Audacity and split up the tracks?

It takes less than 2 minutes.

It looks like the new posting format is screwing up urls that are pasted in messages.

The solution is to copy and paste the second url above into your own address bar and press 'enter'

Yep. The US retail version and Japanese versions are a single track. Even the recent Japanese SHM is one track. But that makes sense, since they seem to have just used the same source for those discs.

I've ordered a lot from CDwow.US (one time they ripped me off, though...promised a two disc set, sent one, I had to return it and wait A MONTH after sending it only to get a discount (which I think may have been less than I paid).
