I loved the outfit he had on at the BET awards....even the white pants. Usually I"m like "ugh..not white pants again" but they looked good with that shirt. "not a fan"  yeah...ok |

I wouldn't go so far as to say the clothes are designed by Anthony Malzone. The graphics are his artwork.
Prince's tees/turtles all have the same basic shape. His wardrobe people have developed a "block" for him that they use for every shirt. The fabric is printed with Malzone's artwork. Then Malzone (pending Prince's approval, I'm sure) suggests placement for the different elements of the artwork.
They lay the block over the fabric accordingly, then cut and sew it. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. |
