since i was trashing planet earth on another thread, i just wanted to say i really do love prince even if i don't favor the latest stuff. most of my best memories include a prince moment/song/movie/event of some sort! and i would still sell my mom on ebay for a front row spot at any show. just sayin'.

LOL - i actually did put my mom on ebay once as a joke. She thought it was hilarious but ebay didn't and they took it down.

Out of what I've read about him, I've always hated the person to death, tho.

you are right. I can get so caught up in my frustrations with his flaws that I forget to express the gratitude that I feel for all the great songs that he has recorded. More than the music I am very, very grateful that Prince has been a fine example of what is possible when you trust your gut and stick to being you. Personally I have never been one to enjoy sticking out and being different. Despite a life lived, on my part, trying to fit in I still get called eccentric anyway . Had I embraced my own uniqueness years ago who knows where I would be right now?

So sending you much love little man for leading the way to self acceptance at all costs.
