Where Prince when wrong in 2004 was NOT doing a World Tour, he should have milked that buzz for another year in europe and then another year back here. He could have made $300-400 million.

So are you saying that the BET awards show is the only award show where performers lip sync? Does that mean that all of the performers on MTV and VH1 are talented? Or do you limit your musician knowledge to rock music? Is that why you chose to diss BET, because BET didn't have any rockers in its lineup.

Great post, I totally agree.

I would love for Prince to surround himself with more of a rock crowd. The problem he has is that he would never bring on an established musician like a Tom Morello or Tim Commerford because he wants to be the only star on stage. It's not to say his past players aren't talented, because they're very talented, but they're all in the same groove. If Prince was really interested in a new challenge, he'd branch out.

I think it's more about the quality and atmosphere of the show itself. The BET awards are pretty hacky and beneath Prince. Compare this BET show to past AMA's, Grammys, VH1's and MTV's, where Prince accepted awards and performed.

I want honest answers of course. But the start of the thread is very clear. It is aimed at those who WOULD like to see some kind of change from Prince. All answers are welcome as long as they are on topic.
