I love video clips that coinside with cuts 2 live footage, like Duran Duran's "The Reflex". So I gotta give Glam Slam some much needed props.
Probably the best 1 being "7". I just love the image of Prince leading the next generation (them lil kiddies) into the holy city... I also love the Pink Cashmere video too. Prince never really did very good videos overall. All his early videos were just performance clips which I loved but there wasn't much to them. Then later on he did some goofy ones like Cream and Alphabet Street. My favorite is the long version of I Would Die 4 U/Baby I'm A Star and then maybe America. Those really aren't proper videos though. I can't think of any good ones he had that had a story...the one for Kiss was kind of lame I thought...Raspberry Beret was definitey cheesy. Maybe D&P, but it wasn't anything special really. | |
